Gold Canyon Golf Resort and Spa

Gold Canyon Golf Resort and Spa

The Gold Canyon Golf Resort t is located in the desert Arizona landscape in the mountains of Gold Canyon with amazing views of the Superstition Mountains. I’ll be honest I am an Arizona Native and I visited Gold Canyon for the first time, THIS YEAR. Typically when I think of going on an in town stay cation, I immediately think of Scottsdale. However, if youre looking for a resort that’s secluded and quiet, and basically a gem in the mountains, this is it!

The drive into the resort is even impressive. They have unique small roads up the mountain that lead to  indidivutal casitasT. I love the personalized feel this resort has. There is no one big building, seven stories high. Each room is individualized and gives you a sense of space and seclusion. Almost a romantic feel.

The resort pool is centrally located within the resort and has a fantastic view of the golf course, the mountains and the resort. I could spend all day sitting by the pool.

However, if you get tired of being out in public, some of the rooms come with their own private outdoor spa.

The resort also has golf (and who doesn’t love golf). The resort fee includes unlimited access to range balls as well! Gold Canyon Golf Resort offers two 18-hole Championship golf courses, Dinosaur Mountain and Sidewinder. Dinosaur Mountain is rate one of the top course in Arizona.

The resort is an all in one stop. They have an on site Kokopelli Resturant that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and is centrally located within the resort. They have a view of the  Superstition Mountains that is breath taking.

Highly recommended: Sunday Brunch (8am – 1 pm) with a Chef Attended Omelet Station

The resort sits right on the mountains, and as you walk outside your room, within a minute you can be to a hiking trailhead. The trails were amazing (some more challenging than others) and each one had some amazing views of the city and the resort. I would highly recommend trying out the hiking trails!! (Bring water!!)

El Conquistador, A Hilton Resort, Tucson AZ

When I think of Arizona, I think of warm weather, wildflowers, breath taking sunsets and a desert filled with cacti and mountains. And I also think of pools, laying out and catching some rays and time outdoors with Charlie. To me, Arizona is the perfect place to spend time outside.

Charlie and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Resort, El Conquistador  located in Tucson Arizona. The hotel was a true desert oasis. The resort spans over 80 acres of desert and had amenities that will provide for an unforgettable vacation.

While at the resort, Charlie and I spent the majority of our time at the swimming pools. Charlie’s favorite pool was the kid pool (of course), it was private and quiet and had a zero edge entrance that Charlie loved to run in and out of. I like that the resort kept the kids pool away from the large pool, so that I did not feel like Charlie was being too loud when others were trying to relax.

My favorite pool was the main oasis pool, located in the middle of the resort, surrounded by grass and palms trees and accompanied by a poolside bar and grill. And let me tell you… the grill food is amazing! I would definitely recommend the burger, it was perfect. Tommy, the poolside server had the best customer service skills and was so friendly.

And if you are anything like me, then you like hot tubs. El Conquistador has a super secluded, private, and quiet hot tub located right next to an ice pool.

I loved that the entire time at the resort, I never had to leave. The resort had an on site gym (with treadmills that streamed Netflix…gasp!…), on site restaurants and even a full buffet style breakfast (that served Lox Bagels… my favorite!). They even served sunscreen, water and towels by the pool (for all you absent minded parents like myself).

Overall, the resort was beautiful, fun, and one for the books! Thank you El Conquistador for having us!

Flagship Dinner Cruise: http://www.flagshipsd.com/cruises/nightly-dinner-cruise

We recently joined Flagship Cruises for their Nightly Dinner Cruise.

We had passed the Flagship stand so many times that we almost became accustomed to walking past it, like we were blind to it. Until some people in our group decided to stop by the stand and check out what they were all about.

And I am so glad they did!

We decided to join them on their Saturday Night Dinner Cruise.

The service was impeccable, the views were unforgettable, and the evening was one of the most memorable family nights we had on the trip.

We started off the cruise with champagne, and Charlie enjoyed himself to some apple cider. I added the ‘Hosted Bar’ to my ticket and let me tell you, it was SO worth it! The Merlot and Bloody Mary’s were amazing! I would definitely recommend adding this onto your reservation!

Charlie loved watching the boat take off, and screamed with delight at the people waving at him from the shore. He kept yelling “On a boat! In the water!” I did not know someone could be this excited about being on a boat… that in itself made mommy so happy.

We then had a three course gourmet dinner followed by the most amazing dessert which included lemon bars, caramel brownies, strawberries with whipped cream and cheesecake. Yes… all four. And I did not control myself.

The ship sailed 25 miles along the San Diego coastline. There was music, dancing, and the beautiful night lights of the city.

I would recommend this over and over for both locals and for tourists. I will definitely be taking my friend and my family on this again!

Thank you Flag ship cruises!!
