As a mom to one, I remember being pregnant and trying to pick out a diaper bag. I wanted the trendy, cute diaper bag of course. However, as soon as I had Charlie and started hauling stuff around, I realized that diaper bags that are just cute and not functional are… a pain in the butt.

Shortly after realizing I hated my registered diaper bag, I found myself throwing Charlie’s things into my Kate Spade purse. One day I was walking around the mall, and a woman approached me and said “mam you’re leaking.” Of course I immediately grabbed my boobs, embarrassed that she said I was leaking… and that she called me Mam (I mean I’m not that old right?). However, she then pointed to the ground and the milk trail that followed me. Thank the Lord…she was talking about my purse leaking… Charlie’s sippy cute had spilled over in my bag and my purse dripping milk everywhere. You could see everywhere I had been in the mall, just a few drops of milk behind my every step. My purse was ruined. And that’s when I decided to make a change 😉

I discovered Cee Cee & Ryan Diaper bags. Not only are they sleek, trendy, AND function, but they are designed to make everyday adventures simple. I have the Cee Cee & Ryan Kennedy Diaper Bag, and I could not be more pleased with it. It has 5 exterior zip pockets, giving me quick access to my car keys, my lip gloss, and Charlie’s binky… Three things I typically need and need fast. It has 2 open pockets on the side to carry my water bottles, or Charlie’s sippy cup. The interior has two separate large compartments with 3 bottle pockets and 8 additional pockets that allow for diapers, wipes, change of clothes, snacks, energy drinks. Cee Cee & Ryan Diaper Bags were thoughtfully designed with ample room to carry all of your baby’s essentials and your essentials and can accommodates a family’s ever changing needs. Cee Cee & Ryan Diaper Bags are a must-have for all parents.

Being a mom can be pretty crazy, I feel like I have very little time. There are days when I forget to brush Charlie’s teeth, change the laundry over to the dryer ( I swear sometimes I wash the same load of laundry three times before it gets into the dryer) Or I’m too tired to bathe Charlie so I make him shower with me.

The other day I was walking through Petsmart with Charlie and he saw the beta fish. He got so excited, was clapping his hands, and yelling “FIS!!!” (Fish). It was seriously so cute and took everything in me not to buy him one… but then I remembered when I had a beta fish back in college, and had to remember to feed it twice a day, clean out its tank, and then eventually it dies and I just can’t handle that!

I don’t want another responsibility of cleaning the fish tank every week and feeding something else twice a day 🙈 #badmom? (Oh and I’m talking about the dog being fed twice a day, not Charlie! Lol!!)
Well I found a solution to the problem! I found HEXBUG. They are robotic fish and they are amazing. Charlie sat and watched them all day and even refused to go to sleep without the fish tank next to him.

They are quite possibly the best solution to getting your kids a pet!! Granted you may have to change the battery every once in a while 😉

Pumpkin Medley with Oxo

Pumpkin Applesauce Medley:

Step 1: Buy a Pumpkin

Warning, this recipe makes some delicious baby food. Amateur mommies be advised….you may eat more of it than your toddler. Similar in flavor to a squash, pumpkin pairs nicely with less-sweet veggies such as zucchini and green beans, and also works well with fruits and meats. When looking for your pumpkin, look for an unblemished one, between 2-5 lbs. If purchasing a package of already peeled pumpkin, be sure the pumpkin is deep orange in color. For measuring sake, remember, a two-pound pumpkin yields about 28 ounces of puree.

Step 2:

Place that pumpkin of yours in the sink and rinse with cold water. Scrub the pumpkin with a brush to get the grime and dirt off. If you purchased the already peeled pumpkin, rinse in cold water in a colander.

Step 3:

Cut the pumpkin into small cubes (this takes … a long time and is rather tedious but so worth it). Add pumpkin squares to baking dish, add a half inch of water before backing to keep the pumpkin moist.. Bake at 450F for about 45 minutes. The pumpkin should be tender. Remove from oven.

If you went the easy way out… (you are smart!) Take the peeled and cut pumpkin, bring water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Cook diced pumpkin until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and rinse under cool water for about three minutes to stop the cooking process.

 Step 4:

Puree cooked pumpkin in your OXO food masher ( until smooth
 Step 5:

Use the OXO tot Glass Baby Blocks and portion out your pumpkin medley. Each portion should contain

 1/2 cup applesauce.

1/2 cup pumpkin puree.

1/2 cup (cooked) oatmeal.

Dash of cinnamon and nutmeg

Step 6:

Feed to baby. Feed to mommy. Feed to everyone. We would recommend the OXO tot feeding spoon set with soft silicone (

Step 7:

Leftovers? Whats that? We didn’t have any… But if you do, the OXO Tot Glass Baby Blocks are made of durable borosilicate glass which means they can go directly from the freezer to the oven. So freeze those pumpkin medleys and enjoy another day!
